Veteran technology executive joins the leader in Enterprise Resilience
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – March 5, 2019 – Absolute (TSX: ABT), the leader in endpoint resilience, today announced the appointment of Dr. Nicko van Someren as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer. In this role, van Someren will oversee the direction and strategic vision of Absolute’s product architecture and security roadmap with a focus on helping organizations manage, monitor and protect their endpoint infrastructure.

Van Someren has more than two decades of experience leading, developing and bringing to market disruptive security technologies, for start ups to public companies alike. Prior to his role at Absolute, van Someren served as Chief Security Officer and Chief Information Officer at nanopay, Inc, a financial services technology company where he was responsible for all security and IT operations. Van Someren has also served as Chief Technology Officer at the Linux Foundation, Good Technologies (now a part of BlackBerry) and nCipher (listed on the London Stock Exchange, recently acquired by Entrust Datacard), as well as the Chief Security Architect at Juniper Networks. He also serves as an advisor to numerous startups and security businesses.
