VANCOUVER, British Columbia — October 22, 2019 — Absolute (TSX: ABT), the leader in endpoint resilience, today announced two new appointments to the company’s executive leadership team. William Morris joins as Executive Vice President, Engineering and Ameer Karim joins as Executive Vice President, Product Management.
With more than two decades of proven product leadership, William Morris joins Absolute to lead all aspects of engineering and product development. Mr. Morris was most recently at BlackBerry, where he was responsible for leading a 400+ global engineering team and delivering security, mobile, cloud, and server solutions. Prior to BlackBerry, Mr. Morris held senior management roles at McAfee, AOL, and Netscape.

Prior to Absolute, Mr. Karim created a new business group at Symantec that delivered products and services around network security and IoT devices, resulting in new revenue streams. Mr. Karim has previously held multiple leadership roles at HP across its personal computing division and at start-ups in Silicon Valley.
