Absolute Visibility, Absolute Control, and Absolute Resilience will see changes to the scope of capabilities covered in their respective service tiers.

We’re adding ‘Web Application Usage’, the ‘Web Subscriptions Report’, and ‘Endpoint Data Discovery’ to Absolute Visibility – and by extension to Absolute Control – to further increase value of those packages and better align to your use cases. These packaging updates will be effective April 1, 2023.

For Absolute Resilience customers, we continue to increase the Application Resilience catalog. We now support over 70 software applications and the list continues to grow. We are also adding End-to-End Application Health in the Summer of 2023 to further increase the value of this package too. A separate announcement will be issued to Absolute Resilience customers once the launch details for this capability becomes available.

The Absolute Web Application Usage capability allows you to easily generate Web application usage reports to know what websites users are actively engaged with, how much, and when. This enables you to monitor how training and enablement impacts the adoption of Web tools and allows you to adjust your plans accordingly.

The Absolute Web Subscriptions Report enables your IT teams to gauge the return on investment for your subscribed Web applications. The consolidated report provides a single pane of glass to understand how Web applications are being used by your users and to compare this with your annual license costs to make budgetary decisions related to renewal or license optimization. The Web Subscriptions Report is an extension of the Absolute Web Usage capability.

Absolute Endpoint Data Discovery is a unique data security feature. It allows you to set policies to scan your managed Windows and Mac devices for data-at-risk - either periodically or on demand, thereby providing reliable data visibility across your devices to monitor and ensure your organization’s data risk exposure is below an accepted threshold. This feature is policy-based and can be configured within the Absolute Console. When the Endpoint Data Discovery policy is configured and activated, the files stored on managed devices are scanned to identify at-risk data such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, personal health information (PHI), personally identifiable information (PII), encrypted or password-protected files, custom information that is unique to your organization, or GDPR personal data.

We have left our overall pricing unchanged for more than a decade while delivering substantial value across our Absolute Visibility, Control, and Resilience packages. However, general market conditions make it necessary to adjust our prices.

For new Absolute Visibility, Control, and Resilience customers, new MSRP pricing is effective on April 1, 2023, at 12:00 AM PST. For existing Absolute Visibility, Control, and Resilience customers, new MSRP pricing will be in effect on their next renewal date or upon expansion of licenses.

There is nothing you need to do, and you should not expect any disruption. However, the prices charged to you by your Absolute-authorized reseller may change for any future license purchases, because of Absolute’s MSRP price change. You will not have to change any license keys.

Existing custom agreements will be honored until the agreement terms expire. You should reach out to your Account Manager directly to evaluate renewal terms.

You can discuss upcoming renewals with your Absolute-authorized reseller, Absolute Account Manager, or the Absolute Renewals team. If you can provide your Absolute-authorized reseller or Absolute with an executable purchase order on or before April 1, 2023, it will ensure 12 months of the historical price. After expiration of your existing licenses, the new MSRP price list will be utilized for your renewal subject to any other custom agreement providing otherwise.

Absolute, as any other software company, periodically assesses the impact of our MSRP pricing to ensure there is a reasonable alignment with the needs of our customers and partners across the globe, as well as with our costs. Therefore, we may make further MSRP price adjustments to be able to deliver our customers with outstanding value and an exceptional product for the price paid.

You can inquire about the packaging and MSRP price updates with your preferred System Manufacturer, Channel partner, or contact your Absolute Account Manager. Please note that some System Manufacturing and Channel partners might adopt the MSRP price updates according to their own schedule.
