Every Fujitsu STYLISTIC M532 Android Media Tablet in North America Includes a One-year License of Computrace Mobile Basic

Vancouver, Canada: September 25, 2012 – Absolute® Software Corporation (TSX: ABT), the leading provider of firmware-embedded endpoint security and management solutions, announced today the extension of the Computrace® persistence module into the firmware of the new Fujitsu STYLISTIC® M532 Android Media Tablet. The persistence module is embedded into the firmware of the tablet at the factory, making Computrace virtually tamper-proof.

All Fujitsu STYLISTIC M532 Android Media Tablets in North America will include a one-year license of Computrace Mobile Basic. Computrace Mobile Basic provides peace of mind and a trusted lifeline for Fujitsu STYLISTIC M532 Android Media Tablet owners. Customers have the option to upgrade to Computrace Mobile Standard or Premium for access to theft recovery services and a recovery service guarantee.

“As the BYOD trend continues to grow, our patented persistence technology provides invaluable support to IT administrators managing devices on various platforms,” states John Livingston, Chairman and CEO at Absolute Software. “Once Computrace Mobile is activated, IT administrators enjoy a level of persistence that is virtually tamper-proof, allowing them to track all their devices, including the Fujitsu STYLISTIC M532 Android Media Tablet, build geofences to contain assets, remotely freeze a device and delete sensitive information. For our customers, delivering persistence for our mobile device management solutions ensures, unlike other offerings in the marketplace, their devices are always under management.”

“The Fujitsu STYLISTIC M532 Android Media Tablet fits the BYOD model perfectly, supporting the balance between business and personal use, providing secure access to business applications for productivity from anywhere, as well as rich multimedia features for personal activities,” said Paul Moore, Vice President, PC Product Marketing and Product Management at Fujitsu America. "Including Computrace Mobile Basic with every Fujitsu STYLISTIC M532 Android Media Tablet sold in North America gives businesses an extra layer of protection, ensuring the tablet and any sensitive company data that it contains is secure.”
Absolute customers place a high degree of value in Computrace persistence technology. Computrace provides a comprehensive view of all their mobile devices and allows them to take proactive and immediate action on devices that are at risk, whether they are on or off the network.
