Third Party Software
Absolute’s service includes and/or uses a number of licensed third party software components, as listed below. Third party software is made available to you on an “is-is” and “as-available” basis without any representations or warranties of any kind from Absolute, and pursuant to any license agreements that accompany such software.
Absolute Secure Endpoint Third-Party Licenses
Components of Absolute’s Secure Endpoint products and services may include and/or use the following third-party software components, which are made available to you pursuant to any license agreements that accompany such software. Such third parties and their respective suppliers retain all right, title and interest in and to their respective software and all copies thereof, including all copyright and intellectual property rights with respect thereto. - Amazon OpenSearch Service, based on ElasticSearch technology as a data search engine with storage, is used under license from Amazon Web Services.
- IP2Location is user under license from Hexasoft Development Sdn. Bhd.
- Google Maps are used under license from Google Inc.
- Google Analytics is used under license from Google Inc.
- Document filters from Hyland Software are used as part of the Endpoint Data Discovery feature.
- iGuard URL list from GoSecure (EdgeWave) is used as part of the Web Usage feature.
- Pendo is used under license and provides Help and Support documentation, release announcements, tutorials and serves as a targeted in-console communication channel.
- ComponentSpace is used for SAML request and response.
- Microsoft System Center is provided under license from Microsoft Corporation.
- Elasticsearch from Elastic is the database used for the Insights for Endpoints product capability. Kibana is used in the UI for the product capability.
- AWS RDS Progres, AWS S3, AWS Redis, AWS Secret Manager, AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF) and AWS CloudFront from Amazon Web Services (AWS) are used as part of the Insights for Endpoints product capability.
- Auth0 is being used as an IDP for device refurbishment services.
- Cloudflare is used for application firewall, content DNS and domain registration services.
Absolute Secure Access Third-Party Licenses
Components of Absolute Secure Access® v12.70 and later (the “Software”) may be subject to licenses from third parties, including open-source communities that govern the use of those components (“Third-Party Licenses”). Absolute Software, Inc. provides links below to the applicable terms of such Third-Party Licenses. Any licenses granted by Absolute Software, Inc. do not alter the rights and obligations you may have under such Third-Party Licenses. All Third-Party Licensors and their respective suppliers retain all right, title and interest in and to their respective software and all copies thereof, including all copyright and intellectual property rights with respect thereto. In addition to the above Third-Party Licenses, certain software provided by Oracle America, Inc. (the “Oracle Software”) may be embedded and integrated into the Software. In addition to, and notwithstanding anything to the contrary in, the Absolute Master Subscription Agreement (including, without limitation, the Secure Access Products Addendum), the End User License Agreement for Secure Access (or any predecessor NetMotion products), any archived versions of any of the preceding contracts, or any similar agreement between you and Absolute (or any of Absolute’s affiliates) governing the provision of services or sale of products by Absolute (as applicable, “your agreement with Absolute”), the following will apply in connection with your use of the Software containing Oracle Software:
- Oracle is an express third party beneficiary of the terms that are binding on you in your agreement with Absolute.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, Oracle expressly disclaims all liability for any damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential, and any loss of profits, revenue, data or data use, arising from your use of the Oracle Software.
- The Oracle Software is subject to a restricted license and can only be used in conjunction with the Software, for your internal business operations, without modification.
- Without limiting any provision in your agreement with Absolute, you must not: (i) duplicate the Oracle Software except for a sufficient number of copies of each program for your licensed use and one copy of each Oracle Software media; (ii) publish any results of benchmark tests run on the Oracle Software; or (iii) use the Oracle Software for rental, timesharing, subscription service, hosting or outsourcing.
- Some Oracle Software may include source code that Oracle may provide as part of its standard shipment of such Oracle Software, which source code will be governed by the terms of your agreement with Absolute.
- Third party technology that may be appropriate or necessary for use with some Oracle Software is specified in the Software documentation or as otherwise notified by Absolute, and such third party technology is licensed to you only for use with the Oracle Software under the terms of the third party license agreement specified in the Software documentation or as otherwise notified by Absolute, and not under the terms of your agreement with Absolute.
- Any third party firms retained by you to provide computer consulting services are independent of Oracle and are not Oracle’s agents, and Oracle is not liable for nor bound by any acts of any such third party firm.
- You acknowledge that you have not relied on the future availability of any Oracle Software or updates in entering into your agreement with Absolute (provided that the foregoing does not change the rights granted to you for any Software licensed under your agreement with Absolute, per the terms of your agreement with Absolute).
- The Oracle Software is not specifically designed, manufactured or intended for use in connection with the planning, construction, maintenance or operation of a nuclear facility, and you must not use the Oracle Software for these purposes.
- In addition to any other audit rights that Absolute may have relating to your use of the Software, Absolute may report its audit results to Oracle or Absolute may assign its audit rights to Oracle (and Oracle will not be responsible for any of your costs relating to such audit).
- At the termination of Absolute’s agreement with you, you must discontinue use of and destroy or return to Absolute all copies of the Oracle Software and related documentation.
- The Uniform Computer Information Transactions Act does not apply.

Components of Absolute Insights for Network© 3.70 and later (the “Software”) may be subject to licenses from third parties, including open-source communities that govern the use of those components (“Third-Party Licenses”). Absolute Software, Inc. provides links below to the applicable terms of such Third-Party Licenses. Any licenses granted by Absolute Software, Inc. do not alter the rights and obligations you may have under such Third-Party Licenses. All Third-Party Licensors and their respective suppliers retain all right, title and interest in and to their respective software and all copies thereof, including all copyright and intellectual property rights with respect thereto. Ericom’s terms and conditions
Soley with respect to Customer’s use of the Secure Web Gateway service, Ericom is an express third party beneficiary
of the terms that are binding on Customer pertaining to use restrictions, suspension for Customer’s misuse, use of
anonymized data, product usage data, feedback, Customer’s confidentiality obligations, disclaimer of warranties,
indemnification by Customer, and exclusion of liability, in each case, to the extent such terms are contained in the
Absolute Master Subscription Agreement,
(including without limitation, the
Secure Access Products Addendum), the End
User License Agreement for Secure Access (or any predecessor NetMotion products), any archived versions of any of the
preceding contracts, or any similar agreement between you and Absolute (or any of Absolute’s affiliates), governing
the provision of services or sale of products by Absolute.
